FDA Recalls Mangoes and Rice Over Salmonella and Contamination Concerns

The United States Food and Drug Administration announced two separate product recalls affecting fresh mangoes distributed by Panorama Produce and white jasmine rice distributed by Lundberg Family Farms due to potential salmonella and foreign material contamination risks. Panorama Produce recalled 302 boxes of size 9 mangoes sold at select Walmart stores across Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania following contamination concerns. Concurrently, Lundberg Family Farms initiated a recall of over 27,000 packages of two-pound white jasmine rice bearing specific lot codes 260201MA and 260202MA after discovering potential foreign object contamination. Distributed across 13 states through major national retailers including Wegmans, Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, and Giant, the affected dry goods prompt consumer safety checks. Health authorities advise affected purchasers to return impacted items to the original place of purchase for a complete refund. No consumer illnesses have been officially reported in connection with either recall to date.
