Braselton, Ga. Charlie Woods now shares one honor with Tiger Woods: the Benjamin School junior was named an AJGA first-team All-American, joining 11 other boys. He won his first big title at the Team TaylorMade Invitational in May. Miles Russell, 17 and a Walker Cup alternate this summer, was selected player of the year for the second time. On the girls side, Aphrodite Deng, a Canadian living in New Jersey, earned player of the year after winning the U.S. Girls Junior and two big AJGA events. Teams were determined exclusively by Rolex AJGA Rankings as of Oct. 14.

T-Mobile is widening access to its Starlink-powered emergency texting, letting anyone with a compatible phone — including AT&T and Verizon users — sign up to text 911 over satellite for free. Supported devices exclude phones with built-in emergency satellite texting: iPhone 14 and later and Pixel 9 and up (except 9A). Eligible models include iPhone 13, Pixel 9A, Samsung Galaxy S21 and newer, and newer Motorola phones. Non-T-Mobile users need an unlocked eSIM. After enrollment, phones automatically connect to T-Mobile’s emergency texting network in areas without cellular coverage.

Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler will undergo surgery on his left shoulder and miss the rest of the season. The procedure will repair a torn labrum first incurred at Auburn. Sent home from a road trip for evaluation, Kessler’s shoulder—bothering him since last month—now sidelines one of the league’s top rim protectors, further straining a defense already struggling for stops. The timing puts him in a precarious spot as he nears restricted free agency after brief extension talks with Utah. In his absence, Jusuf Nurkic starts, with Kyle Filipowski, Taylor Hendricks and Lauri Markkanen at center.

With a playoff case to make, No. 6 Oregon (7-1, 4-1 Big Ten) visits Iowa (6-2, 4-1) on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Oddsmakers list Oregon -6.5, total 40.5. The Ducks’ field-stretching offense rides QB Dante Moore’s ball security, but trench questions linger after Indiana held them to 81 rushing yards. Iowa leans on control and a top-tier defense allowing 4.4 yards per play, with QB Mark Gronowski steering a deliberate run game. The preview leans under—Kinnick’s pace, limited explosives, and late-game defensive tightening suggest points will be scarce, with even a second-half under worth a look.

Tariffs imposed by the Trump administration are adding costs as inflation lingers, and Amazon has raised prices more than rivals, DataWeave says. Amazon’s online prices rose 12.8% through September, versus 5.5% at Target and 5.3% at Walmart, with Amazon’s sharpest jump, 3.7%, from January to February. Across the three, apparel and home goods saw the biggest gains. Experts say third-party sellers are especially exposed, while Amazon says prices reflect normal fluctuations. Despite increases, Amazon reported third-quarter online store sales up 10% and third-party services revenue up 12%.

After Monday night’s win over the Cowboys, Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said Kyler Murray remained his starter; on Tuesday he announced Jacoby Brissett will start Sunday in Seattle, citing Murray’s lingering foot injury. Gannon called the early declaration clarity for game-planning, though the timing invites questions about league pressure for transparency amid recent gambling and injury-report issues. The choice highlights a delicate balance: Murray is paid like the starter, but Brissett is playing better. With major 2026 guarantees looming, Arizona may keep Murray sidelined and healthy while riding Brissett.

Traders slashed odds that the Supreme Court will uphold President Donald Trump’s tariffs after justices signaled doubts about the administration’s sweeping trade powers. On Kalshi, contracts forecasting a pro-tariff ruling fell to about 30% from nearly 50% after a hearing where conservative and liberal justices questioned the broad authority claimed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and pressed Solicitor General D. John Sauer. Lower courts have ruled Trump lacked authority for reciprocal and fentanyl tariffs. The Supreme Court did not rule Wednesday, and timing remains unclear.

Toyota is recalling 1,024,407 vehicles in the U.S., covering 2022–2026 Toyota, Lexus and Subaru Solterra models equipped with Panoramic View Monitor systems. A software error can cause the rearview camera to freeze or display a blank screen in reverse, reducing the driver’s view and increasing the risk of a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

Google released a Theme packs app on the Play Store to let Pixel owners personalize in one tap, bundling wallpapers, dynamic colors, app icons, clock, sounds, and Gboard into seasonal packs. The first set, Wicked: For Good!, offers For Good, Glinda, and Elphaba styles, with previews and optional toggles for wallpaper and sounds before download. Although access should appear in Wallpaper & style, it wasn’t live after installation. The app supports devices as old as Pixel 7 and debuted November 4, 2025.

The Jets’ 1-7 start set the stage for a reset, and Tuesday’s trades of Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams for packages including three first-round picks deepened it. On Wednesday, head coach Aaron Glenn called it an intense day, saying the team hadn’t planned to move either player but couldn’t pass up the offers, echoing GM Darren Mougey. To weary fans, Glenn promised a team they can be proud of, while insisting the group will keep working. The Jets visit the Browns on Sunday amid questions about the future.
