DoorDash’s third-quarter report sent shares down 14% as earnings missed forecasts while revenue beat. EPS was 55 cents versus 69 cents expected, and revenue rose 27% to $3.45 billion. Net income reached $244 million, and orders grew 21% to 776 million, just above FactSet’s tally. The company plans to spend several hundred million dollars on new initiatives in 2026; it is building a global tech platform expected to accelerate then and announced its Dot autonomous robot in September. Q4 adjusted EBITDA guidance is $710 million to $810 million, with Deliveroo expected to lift results.

E.l.f. Beauty shares tumbled 29% after full-year guidance underwhelmed, despite a boost from Hailey Bieber’s Rhode. The company projects $1.55 billion to $1.57 billion in revenue and adjusted EPS of $2.80 to $2.85, both below LSEG expectations, while Rhode is slated to add $200 million this year and $300 million on a run rate. Fiscal Q2 brought an earnings beat but a sales miss: 68 cents adjusted EPS on $344 million, up 14% year over year. Net income fell 84% amid President Donald Trump’s new tariffs, as Rhode’s record Sephora debut fuels about 40% growth.

Former Meta interface designers Mina Fahmi and Kirak Hong unveiled Sandbar's Stream, a ring billed as a "mouse for voice" that records whispered thoughts with a press and hold on the touchpad, chats via an in-app AI, organizes notes, and doubles as a media controller. Preorders open at $249 silver or $299 gold, with shipping slated for next summer and a Pro plan free for three months, then $10 per month, for unlimited chats and notes. Sandbar says users control their data, with encryption and export options. The startup raised $13 million from True Ventures, Upfront Ventures, and Betaworks.

The Cardinals placed Kyler Murray on injured reserve with a foot injury, sidelining him at least four weeks, head coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday. He called it a collective decision reached between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, adding Murray isn’t healthy enough to play and will focus on recovery. Jacoby Brissett remains the Week 10 starter against the Seahawks. Gannon left open a late-season return but stressed caution given how the injury affects Murray. Murray has started five games, completing 68.3% for 962 yards, six TDs and three INTs.

Robinhood Markets has become one of Wall Street’s standout winners since Donald Trump’s election victory, with shares up about 450% through Tuesday, far outpacing the S&P 500’s 17% gain. The platform is the biggest gainer among companies worth at least $10 billion ahead of the 2024 election, Bloomberg data show. With unease over pricey stocks building, investors will closely parse Wednesday’s results; Robinhood rose roughly 2% just after the opening bell.

Google unveiled Project Suncatcher, a moonshot to test AI computing in space using swarms of solar-powered satellites fitted with its TPU chips and linked by laser communications. The company says early radiation tests suggest the hardware can survive orbit, but CEO Sundar Pichai flagged hurdles including thermal management and on-orbit reliability. To tap constant sunlight and dump heat, the craft would fly sun-synchronous along the day night terminator. A research paper outlines swarms as tight formations acting as one data center, with an 81 satellite concept. Two prototypes, built with Planet, target launch in early 2027.

Newly acquired cornerback Sauce Gardner practiced with the Colts on Wednesday and plans to play Sunday against the Falcons in Berlin if he clears concussion protocol, coach Shane Steichen said. Indianapolis landed Gardner from the Jets for two first-round picks and receiver Adonai Mitchell at the trade deadline, a bold swing that energized the 7-2 locker room. Quarterback Daniel Jones and linebacker Zaire Franklin said the move signals a win-now mentality. With Gardner joining Charvarius Ward, Kenny Moore II, Camryn Bynum and Nick Cross, the Colts hope for a potentially fearsome defensive backfield.

Stephen Curry will miss the Warriors’ road game against the Kings on Wednesday with a worsening cold and remained in San Francisco. Draymond Green (right rib contusion) and Jimmy Butler III (tweaked lower back) are questionable; Butler is pushing to play after round-the-clock treatment. Coach Steve Kerr said the trio is “wiped out” by a compressed opening month that includes three back-to-backs, with eight of the next nine games on the road. With veterans including 39-year-old Al Horford, the Warriors plan selective rest, and Kerr said the real fix is a shorter season.

France suspended access to Shein’s website pending proof it complies with national laws, after officials found sex dolls resembling children for sale, which the consumer fraud agency deemed of a child pornography nature. The crackdown, ordered by Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu, coincided with the retailer’s first physical store opening in Paris, igniting chaotic scenes at BHV Marais. More than 200 police held back crowds as protesters shouted “Shame on you!” Some workers criticized labor and environmental practices, while shoppers still lined up for ultracheap knockoffs.

Google is updating the Pixel-exclusive Sounds app to version 3.3, bringing a Material 3 Expressive refresh and 18 nature recordings to the Sound Matters collection, including cicadas, cuckoos, and a dawn chorus captured in Wild Hokkaido. The 11 sound collections now feature abstract, Dynamic Color-themed artwork, along with tidier bars and a properly placed overflow menu. The rollout of build 825845788 is now widely appearing for older Pixel devices; earlier, it was seen on the Pixel 10 series. If the update doesn’t surface in Google Play due to a system-app bug, users can open the app’s listing directly.
