Omaha, Neb. — The NCAA Division I Baseball Championship subcommittee announced Monday that UCLA was named the No. 1 overall seed for the 2026 tournament after a 51-6 regular season, with Georgia Tech seeded No. 2 and Georgia No. 3. The 64-team field opens 16 double-elimination regionals this Friday ahead of super regionals and the College World Series. Atlanta and other host cities will stage regional games beginning Friday, with Mac Nease Baseball Park hosting an Atlanta regional for the first time since 2019. Georgia plays Long Island at 7 p.m. Friday, Georgia Tech opens against Illinois-Chicago at noon, and the College World Series is scheduled to begin June 12 in Omaha.
