WIMBERLEY, Texas — A Cessna 421C crashed into wooded terrain late Thursday night, April 30, killing all five people aboard, county officials said. Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra reported the accident after emergency crews were dispatched around 11:05 p.m.; the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board opened an investigation. Responders remained on scene into the early morning Friday to secure the site, recover victims and document wreckage; officials said preliminary evidence shows the aircraft was traveling at a high rate of speed and there is no indication of a mid‑air collision. Flight history shows the plane departed Amarillo about two hours earlier and was bound for New Braunfels.
