Tehran, Iran – Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has publicly displayed domestically produced ballistic missiles and drones in the capital, the first such exhibition since its June war with Israel. The event was organized as a show of military strength and a signal that Iran retains substantial missile capability despite damage sustained during the conflict. Among the systems showcased was the Emad missile, which the Associated Press reports has a claimed range of up to 1,700 kilometers, putting parts of the region within reach. Iran also presented the Khorramshahr ballistic missile, which officials say can strike targets at distances of up to 2,000 kilometers. The display carried a clear political message as well as a military one, highlighting Iran’s effort to project deterrence and readiness toward both Israel and the United States after the recent hostilities. By placing the missiles and drones on public view in Tehran, the Revolutionary Guard sought to emphasize that the country’s strategic arsenal remains intact and functional. Reuters reported that Guards commander Majid Mousavi recently stated Iran is replenishing and upgrading its missile and drone launchers at a faster pace than before the war, reinforcing the broader message of recovery, continuity, and defiance in the face of external pressure.
