Over 450 Blizzard game developers on the Diablo team have formed a union with the Communications Workers of America (CWA). This makes them one of the largest Microsoft employee unions, joining over 3,500 other Microsoft workers already unionized. The Diablo union aims to improve pay, job security, and working conditions, particularly amidst recent Microsoft layoffs. This follows the unionization of over 500 World of Warcraft developers last year. Union organizers say this is a response to growing fear among employees due to job insecurity.
