Cambodia has urged an immediate ceasefire with Thailand following two days of cross-border fighting that has resulted in at least 16 deaths and tens of thousands of displaced people. Cambodia's UN ambassador requested an unconditional truce and a peaceful resolution, while Thailand, which declared martial law in border districts, hasn't publicly responded. Thailand's acting Prime Minister warned of escalating conflict, and accusations of using cluster munitions and targeting civilians were exchanged. Despite international calls for a ceasefire and offers of mediation, Thailand reportedly rejected third-party involvement.
