AEW Wrestler The Butcher Dies at 48 After Collapsing in Ring

Professional wrestler and musician Andy Williams, widely known under the ring name The Butcher, died at age forty-eight after experiencing a medical emergency in Pennsylvania. Williams collapsed near the conclusion of a tag-team match alongside his partner The Blade against TME at an independent event hosted by Enjoy Wrestling at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale. On-site medical personnel immediately administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation before emergency responders transported him to Allegheny General Hospital, where his death was subsequently confirmed. The remaining matches were canceled. Early updates on social media involved conflicting claims and temporary denials from organizers prior to official verification from the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office and media outlets. Outside his professional wrestling career with All Elite Wrestling, Williams achieved recognition as a founding rhythm guitarist for the heavy metal band Every Time I Die.
