Seahawks Sign CB Facing 8 Felony Charges

The Seattle Seahawks have signed cornerback Terrion Arnold to a contract despite the player facing eight felony charges in Florida. Arnold, 23, was immediately placed on the commissioner's exempt list, barring him from participating in on-field practices or games while league and legal proceedings advance. The charges stem from an alleged February incident in which prosecutors claim Arnold orchestrated the abduction and beating of three men suspected of stealing cash and luxury goods. Released by the Detroit Lions following his indictment, Arnold maintains his innocence through legal representation. While permitted to attend team meetings and receive compensation under league rules, Arnold cannot return to active football duties until the legal system resolves the pending charges. Head Coach Mike Macdonald acknowledged the organization's adherence to due process in evaluating the signing. The move required Seattle to waive tackle Derrick Graham to accommodate Arnold on the team roster.
