New York Jets rookie running back Chip Trayanum was transported to a local hospital with a neck injury following a hard tackle on the final play of the first half during Friday night’s preseason game against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. The incident occurred when Giants linebacker Trace Ford tackled Trayanum immediately after quarterback Cade Klubnik handed off the ball. Trayanum remained motionless on the turf as medical personnel rushed onto the field to administer emergency treatment. Medical staff attended to the running back for several minutes while players from both teams dropped to one knee in concern. Trayanum was fitted with a neck brace, secured to a medical cart, and driven off the field. Team representatives later confirmed that Trayanum was awake, alert, and possessed movement in his extremities while en route for further medical evaluation. The game concluded shortly after the frightening field medical emergency incident.
