Abby Lee Miller Drops Doctors from $1.4M Lawsuit, Admits Claims Were "False"

Former reality television star Abby Lee Miller has officially dropped her legal claims against two Los Angeles physicians whom she previously accused of medical malpractice in a 2025 lawsuit. In a formal statement released on Monday, August 24, 2026, Miller acknowledged that Dr. Hooman Melamed and Dr. Paul Dwan bore no fault regarding allegations that a surgical catheter was left inside her body following a 2020 procedure at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. Miller agreed to retract her prior public statements and issued a direct apology for the reputational and emotional distress caused to both doctors. Her original complaint sought 1.4 million dollars in damages and alleged medical negligence and battery. While Miller has completely exonerated the individual physicians, the overarching lawsuit remains active against Cedars-Sinai Marina Hospital as a defendant, with a jury trial currently scheduled in Los Angeles for July 2027.
