A California judge granted a legal garnishment order authorizing former housekeeper Maria Avila to seize live touring revenue and music royalties from recording artist Chris Brown to settle an unpaid $13.8 million judgment. The court enforcement follows a June 2026 jury verdict stemming from a December 2020 incident at Brown's Tarzana home, where a 200-pound Caucasian Shepherd guard dog mauled Avila. Avila suffered facial disfigurement, vision loss, and nerve damage requiring multiple surgeries and skin grafts. A jury awarded Avila $12.9 million, alongside damages for her sister and husband. After Brown failed to satisfy the judgment, Avila's legal team filed motions targeting third-party entities. The new court order legally requires venue operators, ticketing agencies, tour promoters, and financial managers to divert box office proceeds, merchandise sales, and performance payouts directly to satisfy the judgment balance.
