Texas Flood: Camp Leader's Alert Status Unclear | JQJO

Uncertainty surrounds whether Camp Mystic's leader, Richard Eastland, received a flash flood emergency alert before the deadly Texas floods. While he monitored weather and initiated evacuations after significant rainfall, it's unclear if he saw the 1:14 a.m. alert. Poor communication and spotty cell service hampered the evacuation, which began between 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Eastland died attempting rescues. The camp's location in a flood plain, despite FEMA map revisions, also raises questions.
