Astronomical simulations reveal that Venus may harbor numerous undetected asteroids, some large enough to devastate cities upon impact. These asteroids, orbiting near Venus, are difficult to detect due to the sun's glare. While posing no immediate threat, their orbits could shift over time, potentially bringing them closer to Earth. A recent study simulated the movement of these asteroids over 36,000 years, revealing some theoretical possibilities of Earth impact. Although no immediate danger exists, improved detection methods, including the Vera C. Rubin Observatory, are crucial for planetary defense.
