YSES-1c, the outer planet, shows high-altitude clouds composed of mineral dust, possibly including iron, marking the first direct detection of such clouds on a planet orbiting a sun-like star. The inner planet, YSES-1b, possesses a surrounding disc of dust, puzzling astronomers due to the planets' differing compositions despite forming in the same environment.
