Adopting the MIND Diet May Lower Dementia Risk at Any Age

A large study involving nearly 93,000 U.S. adults reveals that following the MIND diet significantly reduces Alzheimer's risk. Participants who improved their MIND diet adherence over a decade saw a 25% lower dementia risk. While the strongest effects were observed in African American, Latino, and White participants, the study highlights the benefits of a brain-healthy diet for cognitive aging across various racial groups. Overall, higher MIND diet adherence was associated with a 9% lower dementia risk.
