Despite a 44-point performance from Nikola Jokic, including a spectacular game-tying shot, the Denver Nuggets lost Game 5 to the Oklahoma City Thunder 112-105. This gives the Thunder a 3-2 series lead in the Western Conference Semifinals. Jokic's teammates struggled offensively, particularly in the fourth quarter, shooting 1-of-15. Jokic's impressive performance, however, included 17-of-25 shooting from the field and marked the first time in NBA history a player recorded multiple 40-point, 15-rebound, 5-assist outings in a series. The Nuggets remain hopeful for a Game 6 victory.
