President Donald Trump on Monday shared a clip of Detroit Lions player Amon Ra St Brown performing the Trump Dance after a touchdown, a seeming answer to circulated videos of him being booed at the Lions Washington Commanders game. Trump, the first sitting president since 1978 to attend a regular season NFL game, drew loud boos and scattered cheers when shown on stadium screens and introduced at halftime, and during a military oath ceremony. He later spent 10 minutes in the Fox booth, calling a few plays and discussing his high school football career, admitting he never scored touchdowns.

President Donald Trump’s administration returned to the Supreme Court seeking to keep full SNAP payments frozen during the shutdown, despite lower-court orders to continue them. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson paused a judge’s full-funding order, and a ruling is expected Tuesday, leaving states and recipients in limbo. Some states briefly disbursed full benefits, others issued partial aid or waited for USDA guidance. As courts weighed the case, families like Brandi Johnson’s in St. Louis rationed food, while states faced reimbursement freezes and some stores turned away cardholders amid shifting directives.

Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton, who logged nine tackles in last Thursday’s win over the Raiders, revealed he underwent surgery Friday after a league-mandated drug test detected elevated hcG levels. Follow-up consultations uncovered a testicular tumor that was removed. Singleton said doctors believe the cancer was caught very early and that he has a great prognosis, though he is awaiting further test results. He expects to return to the field in the coming weeks, thanked his medical team, and urged regular screenings for early detection.

Anyone with a TV that supports an HDMI-connected Google TV Streamer, HDCP 1.3 or later, and a reliable internet connection can check for the update in settings under Voice Assistant.

Bill Simmons cast fresh doubt on the Aaron Rodgers Steelers experiment after a bruising 25-10 loss to the Chargers at SoFi Stadium. On his podcast, he wondered if the 41-year-old is wearing down physically as Pittsburgh fell to 5-4 and to 0-3 in primetime. Rodgers went 16-of-31 for 161 yards with two interceptions, three sacks and a season-low 50.6 rating, misfiring high and low before a late 27-yard TD to Roman Wilson. Mike Tomlin brushed off assessments, while Rodgers owned the stumble and vowed better ahead of Sundays Bengals visit.

Italian pasta makers say the Trump administration’s steep trade penalties could push their products off U.S. shelves, after the Commerce Department set a 92 percent antidumping duty on brands including La Molisana, atop a 15 percent EU tariff—107 percent in all. Italy’s biggest exporters plan to halt U.S. sales as soon as January, warning of a pasta shortage. La Molisana owner Ferro calls the hit devastating and is petitioning for relief; Rummo’s CEO calls it a pretext. Rome and EU leaders object, while U.S. officials insist the rates reflect a technical review, not politics.

Amazon’s format can add items to carts and lifted Duracell purchases 12% when paired with regular spots; Netflix says 77% of ad-tier viewers keep pause ads up for at least 15 seconds. Disney’s opt-in Pause+ keeps control with viewers, while Warner Bros. Discovery tests full-screen globally. Peacock already runs them, and media groups eye AI, local targeting, and even "mindful moments" inside commercial breaks.

A new open source project, d7vk, aims to bring Direct3D 7 games to Linux via a Vulkan-based translation layer built on dxvk, the compatibility tech used in Valve’s Proton. Author WinterSnowfall says it won’t be merged into dxvk but will offer familiar per game profiles, adding another option alongside Wine’s longstanding WineD3D support. After recent tuning, performance ranges from decent to stellar in many titles, though full compatibility is unlikely. With over 400 D3D7 games listed, from Escape from Monkey Island to Hitman, the project targets a long overlooked slice of PC history.
