Ford is trading its 1950s Glass House for a 2.1 million square foot headquarters in Dearborn, ceremonially opening Sunday with construction continuing into 2027. Nicknamed The Hub, the four story complex will consolidate up to 4,000 employees, split between design studios and business operations, with flexible "neighborhoods" and few private offices to drive collaboration under the Ford+ plan. Features include six hidden courtyards, light filled spaces, inviting stairways, and a 160,000 square foot dining area with eight kitchen concepts, rotating menus, and take home meals. The 12 story former HQ, about three miles away, is expected to be demolished.

Hundreds of federalized National Guard troops sent from California and Texas to Portland and Chicago amid protests over the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown will return home, a Defense Department official told CBS News. Judges had barred their street deployment, leaving units in limbo, and the administration has appealed a ruling permanently blocking Guard use in Portland to the Supreme Court. Federal control will shrink: Oregon’s contingent drops from 200 to 100, while roughly 300 Illinois Guard remain federalized. U.S. Northern Command said it is rightsizing the Title 10 footprint as demonstrations at ICE sites continue and local leaders object.

Indiana Senate Republicans will not return for a December redistricting session sought by President Donald Trump, with Senate leader Rodric Bray saying the caucus lacks votes to reopen the congressional map. The move halts an unusual mid-decade bid to turn Indiana’s 7-2 GOP advantage into nine Republican-leaning districts, despite pressure from Gov. Mike Braun and Trump allies. Democrats cheered the decision, and polls cited by the Indiana Capital Chronicle show voters oppose a redraw by about two to one. Supporters vowed to keep pushing, with Sen. Liz Brown calling the refusal "cowardly."

Shorthanded, the Knicks leaned on Karl-Anthony Towns to outlast the Heat 140-132 at Madison Square Garden. With Jalen Brunson out with a sprained ankle and OG Anunoby leaving in the first quarter with a left hamstring strain, assistant Rick Brunson kept urging to play through KAT, Brown said. Towns scored 18 in the first quarter and 31 by halftime, then facilitated against double-teams, saying winning mattered more than chasing 60. Brown later praised Mitchell Robinson’s eight offensive rebounds with an emphatic shout. The Knicks had no update Saturday on Anunoby.

The USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest aircraft carrier, heads to the northern Caribbean on Sunday as tensions with Venezuela mount. A U.S. official told NPR the “table is being set” for possible action, with 15,000 service members in the region, including 2,000 Marines. The U.S. has carried out 20 strikes on boats it says were ferrying drugs and has posted a $50 million reward for the arrest of Nicolás Maduro. Trump said he has “sort of” decided on an attack. Operation Southern Spear unfolds after a four-star admiral overseeing the strikes resigned.

Bengals rookie defensive end Shemar Stewart will go on injured reserve after a knee injury sidelined him Sunday, keeping him out at least three more games and making him eligible to return in Week 15, per NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero. The first-round pick previously missed four games with an ankle injury. In five appearances, he has six tackles and a quarterback hit. The Bengals will also be without defensive end Trey Hendrickson in Week 11, leaving Myles Murphy, Joseph Ossai, Cam Sample, and Cedric Johnson as options at the position.

Patriots defensive tackle Milton Williams suffered an ankle injury Thursday night that could sideline him for multiple weeks, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports. That timeline would keep him out against the Bengals next week and the Giants the week after, with New England’s bye following. A major free-agent addition in March, Williams signed a four-year, $104 million deal after playing a big role in the Eagles’ Super Bowl win last season. He has started all 11 games for the Patriots this year.

South Carolina blitzed No. 3 Texas A&M, racing to a 30-3 halftime lead in College Station as Marcel Reed committed three turnovers that yielded 17 points, including a scoop-and-score. LaNorris Sellers hit Nyck Harbor on a quick-strike TD and set up scores with explosive plays. Elsewhere, No. 2 Indiana leads Wisconsin 10-7 at the half after a sluggish start, while Notre Dame jumped on Pitt 14-0 with a long Jeremiyah Love run and a pick six. Beyond the early chaos, Week 12 carries major CFP and SEC title implications with heavyweight tests across the slate.

San Francisco’s Mission District is mourning Kit Kat, a beloved bodega tabby known as the Mayor of 16th Street, after a Waymo self-driving taxi ran him over outside Delirium bar on Oct. 27. Witnesses said the car drove away. A shrine and meme coins sprang up as grief fed a larger fight over robotaxis: a city supervisor urged state leaders to grant local control, while critics decried automation’s spread. Waymo said the cat darted under its vehicle and cited data showing far fewer serious crashes than human drivers; Mayor Daniel Lurie defended the service.

In Levi, Finland, Mikaela Shiffrin opened the Olympic slalom season with authority, winning a World Cup by 1.66 seconds for her record-extending 102nd career victory. The American led by more than a second after the first run, clocked the fastest time again, and said she focused on pushing rather than protecting. Albania’s Lara Colturi, who turned 19, matched her career-best in second, and Germany’s Emma Aicher earned her first tech podium in third. Paula Moltzan charged from 19th to a shared fourth, moving Shiffrin and Moltzan to 1-2 in the overall standings.
