Atlanta police arrested Billy Joe Cagle, 49, at Hartsfield-Jackson after his family alerted authorities to a social media livestream in which he said he would “shoot it up.” Officers found an AR-15 and 27 rounds in his pickup parked outside the terminal. Surveillance and body-camera video showed him entering around 9:30 a.m. and focusing on the TSA checkpoint before being detained. He faces charges including terroristic threats and firearm possession by a convicted felon, and was booked in Clayton County. Officials credited the family’s tip for averting tragedy; a friend said Cagle had posted about schizophrenia and taking medication.
