Christopher Moynihan, 34, a Jan. 6 participant who New York State Police say was fully pardoned by President Donald Trump on Jan. 20, 2025, is accused of texting threats to kill House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries ahead of an appearance in New York City, according to a felony complaint. The messages, sent Friday, allegedly left the recipient fearing an imminent assassination. Moynihan, sentenced in 2023 to 21 months in a Capitol case, is due back in court Thursday. A local prosecutor said such threats will not be tolerated.
