Keeler Confronts Attacker as Cleary Sentenced

Nearly 12 years after a 2013 fraternity-party assault, Shannon Keeler faced Ian Cleary in court as he was sentenced to two to four years in prison. Keeler read a victim impact statement describing lasting trauma and later told ABC News it felt “really good” to look him in the eyes. She called the term shorter than expected but said jail time and being labeled a sexual predator bring accountability. Cleary, found in France this year, had pleaded guilty and apologized. With time served, he could be eligible for parole after six months.
