United States-based AI startup Prometheus, co-led by Jeff Bezos and entrepreneur Vik Bajaj, announced on June 12, 2026, that it had raised $12 billion in a Series B funding round, valuing the company at $41 billion. The record-setting financing, which the company says is the largest Series B infusion in the AI sector to date, brings Prometheus’s total capital raised to more than $18 billion in under a year. Major financial institutions including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, DST Global, and Arch Venture Partners participated in the round, reinforcing investor interest in large-scale AI platforms focused on industrial applications. The startup employs about 150 staff across offices in San Francisco, London, and Zurich, reflecting its early push into both U.S. and European technology and manufacturing hubs. United States-based Prometheus describes its core technology as an “artificial general engineer,” an AI platform designed to compress the design-to-manufacturing cycle for complex physical products from years to months. The company is targeting sectors such as jet engines, semiconductors, medical devices, and consumer electronics, aiming to use its systems to move more quickly from digital design to active production. Prometheus has not yet disclosed commercial revenue, but it says it will use the new capital to scale its production deployments and expand its physical infrastructure as it transitions from development to more extensive manufacturing integrations with industrial partners.
