The EU is preparing a counter-drone European Drone Defense Initiative as NATO ministers meet in Brussels to test new defenses and strengthen the eastern flank. Germany pledged a $500 million US weapons package for Ukraine and will step up air policing with Eurofighter patrols, while delivering additional IRIS‑T systems.
