Starting October 12th, US citizens entering the 29 Schengen Area countries will need fingerprints and facial scans recorded under new EU regulations. This Entry/Exit System aims to track visitor stays, enforcing the 90-day-in-180-day rule. While initial entry might involve longer wait times, subsequent visits should be faster. Digital passport registration may expedite the process. The system replaces physical passport stamps with digital records.
