Barcelona's Sagrada Familia basilica, under construction for over a century, is nearing completion of its central tower. The Tower of Jesus Christ, once finished by early 2026, will make it the tallest Christian church in Europe at 172 meters. While the tower's construction marks a significant milestone, work on the facades and interior will continue for another decade. Next year commemorates the 100th anniversary of architect Antoni Gaudí's death, with events planned, including a papal mass.
