Using the Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA), they captured a stunning image revealing a near-perfect toroidal magnetic field within the blazar's jet. This 'Eye of Sauron'-like structure, almost perfectly aligned with Earth, explains the amplified brightness due to relativistic effects.
