New dating for White Sands footprints confirms controversial theory

New research published in Science Advances confirms earlier findings that human footprints discovered at New Mexico's White Sands National Park are significantly older than previously thought, dating back 10,000 years before the Clovis culture. This challenges the established narrative of when humans first arrived in North America, suggesting a much earlier presence. The footprints, alongside those of extinct animals, were found embedded in layers of sediment, providing strong evidence for this pre-Clovis occupation.
