This Diet Could Lower Your Dementia Risk

A large study presented at the American Society for Nutrition's annual meeting reveals that the MIND diet, combining elements of the Mediterranean and DASH diets, significantly reduces dementia risk. Middle-aged and older adults following the MIND diet, rich in leafy greens and berries, showed lower dementia rates. Even adopting the diet later in life resulted in a 25% risk reduction for those who improved their adherence over a decade. While not proving causation, the findings support the benefits of Mediterranean-style diets for brain health.
