Baltimore Orioles designated hitter Pete Alonso hit his 39th and 40th home runs of the 2026 Major League Baseball season during a 4-3 victory against the Toronto Blue Jays at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Trailing by three runs after the first inning, Baltimore rallied behind Alonso's opposite-field solo blast in the first and an RBI home run by Gunnar Henderson in the sixth. In the bottom of the eighth inning with a runner on base, Alonso hit a two-run home run off reliever Tyler Rogers, securing the comeback win. The performance raised Alonso's American League-leading RBI total to 108. The victory moved Baltimore to 76-81 with five games remaining in the regular season. Manager Craig Albernaz praised Alonso's consistent performance and season-long output following his offseason contract signing.
