Hyundai Motor Group announced it will launch vehicles equipped with its proprietary Atria AI driver-assistance platform in the second half of 2029, marking a two-year delay from its previous target of late 2027. Hyundai executives stated the timeline adjustment is a strategic choice to ensure software maturity and avoid a rushed release. The company intends to leverage its massive global sales volume exceeding seven million units annually to harvest real-world driving data, feeding a continuous training cycle known as a data flywheel.
