Green, a 3-and-D wing previously acquired in June 2026, was traded without appearing in a regular-season game for Minnesota. The front office subsequently waived Konchar via the stretch provision to maximize immediate financial flexibility. The move leaves the Timberwolves positioned roughly $415,000 below the league's second apron, effectively concluding their major offseason acquisitions. Kuminga is expected to join the active roster immediately, bolstering the team's forward depth and long-term rotation capabilities ahead of the upcoming NBA campaign.
