Iran’s top security official warned Saturday that any nation participating in a United States-led economic campaign against Tehran will be treated as an enemy. Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, stated that Iran will first seek to negotiate with neighboring countries to keep them neutral. However, he emphasized that if they refuse, Tehran will target their interests and block all oil exports through the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Rezaei maintained that the vital waterway will remain closed unless Washington fulfills its commitments under a June peace memorandum of understanding. The warning coincides with heightened economic pressures from Washington, following President Donald Trump's pledge to implement maximum isolation measures. Meanwhile, maritime tracking indicated dozens of oil tankers continue to navigate southern regional channels, while Iraq seeks special transit exemptions. Iranian officials reiterate that regional stability depends on cooperative security without external interference.
