Arizona Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte was reportedly spotted gambling at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale while on the 10-day injured list with left-knee inflammation, adding another development to a turbulent week for the club. Marte earlier missed Arizona’s Aug. 17 game at Boston without notifying the team and was placed on the restricted list. After an MRI, he met Thursday with manager Torey Lovullo, general manager Mike Hazen and his agent before moving to the injured list. Lovullo said he felt “betrayed” by how Marte’s absence unfolded, but had moved past those feelings. Local reports and social-media images identified Marte at the casino during Arizona’s game against Cincinnati, although the team had not announced discipline in the latest reports. Arizona entered the weekend one game behind San Diego for the National League’s wild-card position. Marte was batting .249 with 21 homers and 67 RBIs through 118 games.
