Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Chigozie Anusiem was carted from the field with a knee injury during Thursday night’s 22-20 preseason victory over the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium. Anusiem was injured in the third quarter while covering a punt, according to the Associated Press and CBS Sports. The NFL game tracker recorded the injury during Houston’s return, and AP reported that Anusiem was carted off with a knee injury. CBS reported he was playing his second snap when he was pulled down from behind. USA TODAY reported that his leg was placed in an air cast, while the ESPN broadcast did not show the injury itself. The Raiders’ official roster lists Anusiem as a 25-year-old, second-year cornerback from Colorado State. He appeared in three regular-season games for Las Vegas in 2025. The Raiders have not disclosed a diagnosis, and no fracture, ligament tear or season-ending prognosis has been independently confirmed.
