Iran Suspends Ceasefire MoU with US, Accuses Washington of Violating All Commitments

Iran has suspended implementation of a ceasefire memorandum of understanding with the United States, alleging Washington has violated or halted all of its commitments, Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said on Saturday in an interview with state-run IRIB TV. He stated there are currently no negotiations and that Iran is focused on self-defense. The move follows a week of US airstrikes on military sites and infrastructure in Iran’s southern provinces, which Washington says target maritime threats near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has retaliated with missile and drone attacks on US-linked facilities in Gulf states and Jordan, causing regional damage and casualties.
