Killeen clinic caught up in federal fraud investigation

Trevor’s Place, LLC, an applied behavioral analysis clinic in Killeen, agreed to a $430,280.79 civil consent judgment to resolve allegations it inflated TRICARE reimbursement claims by billing for services not provided, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas announced. Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Parnham handled the case. U.S. Attorney Justin R. Simmons announced it as part of a nationwide health care fraud crackdown that brought charges against 455 defendants, including 90 medical professionals, in schemes totaling over $6.5 billion and significant patient harm, including death, alongside seizures of more than $182 million.
