United States — Multiple fires destroyed and damaged buildings across several communities this weekend and on Monday. In Keeseville a barn fire was reported early Saturday at 3:28 a.m. that killed several animals; in Crystal River a commercial honey processing facility burned Sunday morning with reported propane tanks and explosions; and two house fires occurred Monday in Escambia County and Northwest Washington, D.C. Firefighters contained the blazes at different times: Keeseville crews stopped the barn fire before it reached the residence and dispatched county investigators; Crystal River crews used exposure protection while the roof collapsed and extinguished the fire by midafternoon amid hazardous-material concerns; Escambia County officials reported the June 8 home fire was under control by 3:46 a.m. and investigators believe it began in the kitchen; DC Fire and EMS said the Ross Place blaze was accidental, displacing a woman and a girl.
