Dayton, Ohio: Local meteorologists and regional weather teams reported increasing clouds Tuesday with showers becoming possible late Tuesday and more numerous Wednesday as a warm front lifts north; scattered showers and a few storms were forecast for Wednesday with highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s in some locations. Washington, Mid-Michigan and the Carolinas saw similar timing this week, with forecasts calling for isolated to scattered thunderstorms Wednesday into Thursday, heavy downpours on saturated ground and localized flooding risk in some areas; forecasters said a cold front should clear regions by Thursday night with cooler, drier conditions arriving Friday into the weekend.
