Jeff Bezos to colead Project Prometheus AI

Jeff Bezos is stepping back into an operational role as co-chief executive of Project Prometheus, a low-profile artificial intelligence start-up launching with $6.2 billion in funding, partly from him, according to people familiar with the company. It marks his first operational role since stepping down as Amazon chief executive in July 2021. The venture targets A.I. for engineering and manufacturing across computers, aerospace and automobiles.
