IKEA has announced 21 Matter-compatible smart home products, promising reasonable prices and a January launch, all working with HomeKit and the Apple Home app. The lineup spans 11 dimmable bulbs in various shapes and lumen levels, with white, color changing, and decorative clear glass options. New sensors include motion, door and window, temperature and humidity, air quality measuring CO2 and PM2.5, and leak detection, alongside the BILRESA remote and GRILLPLATS smart plug. Built on Matter over Thread to improve range and responsiveness, the devices require a hub; pricing details are still to come.
