Apple is testing camera miniaturization for next year’s iPhone 18 Pro models, a leaker says, using HIAA hole punch tech to shrink the front camera now inside the Dynamic Island. The screen shape will change, but it’s unclear whether the camera moves or sits in a smaller Dynamic Island, and there’s no mention of under-display Face ID. The leaker also cites a variable-aperture rear lens, the same camera plateau as iPhone 17 Pro, a transparent Ceramic Shield area for MagSafe, and a "steel-shell battery." Pro models are expected September 2026, with other iPhone 18 variants spring 2027.
