Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor, spent Sunday night in Section 212 at Madison Square Garden, wearing a Knicks jersey and blending in with fans as the team routed the Bulls. His low-key visit contrasted with third-party rival Andrew M. Cuomo’s recent courtside outing beside Mayor Eric Adams, which Mamdani had criticized online as "Corruption goes courtside." After watching the Buffalo Bills with Gov. Kathy Hochul in Queens, Mamdani sang along to arena tunes, reflected on campaign jitters, and slipped out with little fanfare; nearby spectators hadn’t recognized him.
