Indiana University fired student media director Jim Rodenbush on Tuesday, hours before instructing the Indiana Daily Student to halt print publication. The university says it is shifting resources to digital to address a longstanding deficit, insisting IDS retains full editorial control. A termination letter cited Rodenbush's "lack of leadership" and misalignment with the Student Media Plan. Rodenbush and IDS editors say administrators tried to bar news content from print, calling it unlawful censorship; a digital edition ran with "CENSORED" on the cover.
