Arizona Special Election: Grijalva's Seat Contested | JQJO

A special election in Arizona's 7th Congressional District will determine the replacement for the late Democratic Rep. Raúl Grijalva. The main contenders are Adelita Grijalva, the late congressman's daughter, and Republican Daniel Butierez. Adelita Grijalva holds a significant fundraising advantage. Democrats have a substantial voter registration edge in the district, which leans heavily Democratic. The election's outcome won't alter House control but is significant given the Republicans' slim majority.
