EU to Discuss Drone Wall for Eastern Border | JQJO

Seven EU nations (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria) will meet Friday with the European Commission and Ukraine to discuss a proposed "drone wall" to protect eastern borders from Russian airspace violations. This follows recent incidents involving Russian drones and warplanes in Romanian and Polish airspace. The EU Commission, prompted by President von der Leyen, will explore funding options at an October meeting. While a previous funding request was rejected, Russia's increased aggression has renewed urgency for the project, with member states leading the initiative.
