Journalists killed in Israeli strike on Gaza's Nasser hospital

An Israeli airstrike on a Gaza hospital killed four journalists, including Mariam Dagga, a freelancer for the Associated Press. Nineteen people died in total. The Israeli military stated it would investigate, claiming it doesn't target journalists, but this is part of a larger pattern. At least 192 journalists have died in Gaza during the 22-month conflict, compared to 18 in Ukraine. Reporters Without Borders expressed alarm at the unprecedented decline in journalist safety, citing both indiscriminate and targeted attacks. Israel has restricted access for international media, relying heavily on Palestinian journalists who face significant challenges, including food shortages.
