Astronomers using the James Webb Space Telescope have discovered a tiny, previously unknown moon orbiting Uranus, bringing the planet's moon count to 29. Provisionally named S/2025 U1, the moon is only about 6 miles across and was undetected by Voyager 2. Its discovery suggests Uranus may harbor many more undiscovered small moons, highlighting the capabilities of modern telescopes and adding to our understanding of the planet's complex ring and moon system.
