Former Michigan State student says she got cancer after using chemicals school called 'harmless'

A former Michigan State University graduate student, LingLong Wei, is suing the university for $100 million, claiming her thyroid cancer resulted from inadequate safety protocols during her research involving pesticides and herbicides between 2008 and 2011. Wei alleges she was exposed to hazardous chemicals without proper training or protective equipment, despite expressing concerns. The lawsuit states MSU assured her the exposure was harmless. MSU declined to comment on the pending litigation but asserted its commitment to campus safety.
